Legal
Terms of Use
These are the rules for using Credit Defense Hub. The most important one is in the second section below: nothing here is legal or financial advice, and reading it doesn’t create any professional relationship with us.
Last updated: August 25, 2026
1. Acceptance of these terms
By visiting or using Credit Defense Hub (the “Site”), you agree to these Terms of Use. If you do not agree, please do not use the Site. We may update these terms from time to time — see “Changes to these terms” below.
2. Educational information only — not advice
Everything on this Site — every guide, glossary entry, calculator, template, card review, and tool — is general educational information. It is not legal advice, not financial advice, not tax advice, and not credit repair services.
Using this Site does not create any professional relationship between you and Credit Defense Hub — not attorney-client, not fiduciary, not advisory. That stays true whether you’re reading a page, using a calculator, or emailing us. We are not your lawyer, your financial advisor, or your credit counselor. For advice about your specific situation, talk to a licensed attorney in your state or a qualified financial professional. See our full disclaimer for more on what this Site is and is not.
3. No warranty as to outcomes
We do not promise or guarantee any result from using this Site — not a dispute outcome, not a credit-score change, not a settlement, not a lawsuit result, and not a bankruptcy discharge. The Site and its content are provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including warranties of accuracy, completeness, merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement.
4. Accuracy, verification, and why some information disappears
We try hard to keep information current, and we cite sources so you can check them yourself. But laws, deadlines, and financial-product terms change, and no website can promise it caught every change the moment it happened.
Card and loan data on this Site is dated and sourced. Our publishing system automatically pulls a card listing once key terms — like the annual fee or APR type — go unverified past a fixed deadline, rather than keep showing a number nobody has recently confirmed. That deadline is currently 45 days for APR and fee fields, and 45 days for secured-card deposit ranges. That system reduces stale information. It does not guarantee that any specific number on this Site is accurate the moment you read it, or that it matches what you’ll actually be offered. Always confirm exact rates, fees, and terms directly with the issuer or lender before you apply.
5. Acceptable use
You agree not to use this Site to:
- Violate any law or the rights of any person;
- Scrape, crawl, or systematically extract content at a scale beyond ordinary personal browsing, without our prior written permission;
- Interfere with or disrupt the Site, its servers, or its security measures;
- Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any part of the Site or its systems;
- Impersonate any person or entity, or misrepresent your affiliation with anyone; or
- Upload or transmit anything that contains malicious code.
If you believe you’ve found a security issue rather than a plain content problem, please follow our vulnerability disclosure program instead of testing it against the live Site outside those rules.
6. Intellectual property
The Site’s original content, design, and code are owned by Credit Defense Hub or its licensors and are protected by copyright and other laws. You may view, download, and print pages for your own personal, non-commercial use, and you may quote and link to our content with attribution. You may not republish, redistribute, or sell our content without our prior written permission.
This Site names and discusses many third-party companies, products, and brands — credit card issuers, lenders, credit bureaus, government agencies, and others — the same way a newspaper or review site would. All third-party company names, brand names, logos, and product names appearing on this site are trademarks or registered trademarks of their respective owners. They are used here nominatively — for identification and editorial commentary only. This use does not imply any affiliation, sponsorship, partnership, or endorsement in either direction, and we make no claim of ownership over any third-party mark. Mentioning a company or showing its logo does not mean that company endorses, sponsors, or partners with this Site — and it does not mean this Site is affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by that company either — unless a specific page says otherwise (for example, in our advertiser disclosure).
7. Third-party links
This Site links to other websites — government agencies, card issuers, lenders, nonprofits, and other resources — for your convenience and reference. We don’t control those sites, and linking to one is not an endorsement of everything on it. We aren’t responsible for the content, accuracy, availability, or privacy practices of any site we link to. Review the terms and privacy policy of any third-party site before you use it or provide it with your information.
8. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Credit Defense Hub, its owners, and its contributors are not liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, special, or punitive damages, or any loss of money, credit standing, opportunity, or data, arising from your use of — or inability to use — this Site, even if we’ve been advised such damages were possible. This Site is free to use; nothing here limits any rights you may have that cannot lawfully be limited.
9. Indemnification
You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold Credit Defense Hub harmless from any claim, loss, or expense (including reasonable attorney’s fees) arising from your violation of these terms or your misuse of the Site.
10. Changes to these terms
We may revise these Terms of Use at any time by posting an updated version on this page with a new “Last updated” date at the top. Continuing to use the Site after a change means you accept the revised terms. If a change is material, we’ll try to make that clear on this page.
11. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of [JURISDICTION — owner to complete], without regard to conflict-of-law rules. We have deliberately left this blank rather than guess at a jurisdiction we haven’t confirmed — see the placeholder note on Licenses & Disclosures for the same reason applied to our business address and phone number.
12. Contact us
Questions about these terms, or anything else? Reach us through the contact page.
Educational information — not advice
This page provides general educational information about credit, debt, and consumer protections. It is not legal advice, financial advice, or credit repair services, and reading it does not create any professional relationship. Laws, procedures, deadlines, and dollar amounts vary by state and change over time.
For advice about your specific situation, consult a licensed attorney or qualified financial professional. See our full disclaimer.
