A guided card match — with zero data collected
A few real questions about your goal, your balance, and your credit file, then a ranked match at whatever depth you want to read — from a one-sentence answer to every sourced field. If a card genuinely isn’t the right next step, we say that instead of ranking one anyway.
Advertiser Disclosure
Credit Defense Hub may earn a commission when you follow some links below to a partner's site. Commissions never change a card's score, its ranking, or whether it lands on the buyer-beware list — see the full advertiser disclosure.
Find your match
This finder ranks the 29 cards in our verified corpus by your answers — not by your approval odds, which only the issuer can decide, and never by which card pays a commission.
Nothing you answer here leaves your browser. No email, no phone number, no credit pull, and no lead sold to anyone — every question, match, and detail-level choice below is computed and stored only on this device.
How the ranking works
Your goal resolves to one of our published card needs (rebuild credit, cash back — flat or by category, travel rewards, balance transfer, or no annual fee). Within that need, each card earns points for: matching the need’s category (+5), its methodology-gated editorial rating (up to +2), a $0 annual fee where fee-sensitivity applies (+1.5), no foreign-transaction fee for the travel-abroad need (+1.5), and reporting to all three bureaus for credit-building (+1.5). Cards not accepting applications are penalized (-4). A card outside the need’s category scores exactly zero — it never appears on rating alone. Ties break alphabetically. The full editorial scoring rubric lives on our methodology page.
Before scoring, your deal-breakers and fee ceiling remove non-fitting cards outright (never a demotion). Your annual-fee ceiling of “moderate” is $150 — set from this corpus’s own fee distribution, not a round number picked for looks. And if you told us you carry a balance or are in collections, the finder can return an honest “no card yet” answer instead of a ranking, with the reasoning shown in full rather than just a link away.
Some links may be partner links that earn a commission (see advertiser disclosure), but partner status is never an input to the ranking and cannot change a card’s order.
